"From Script to CLI using Golang"
As developers, we have many ideas throughout the day. However, not every programming language has the ability to take us from prototype to production in a couple of hours. In this talk, I'll explain how I did just that - taking an idea about a local transcription tool from a Golang script, to a CLI which I published on the Homebrew network.
Bio: A Senior Software Engineer at DeepL, Akash is a self-taught programmer who started his journey from playing video-games to developing them. Spending the last couple of years developing software solutions at trading firms and Meta, he's now helping build apps at a rapid speed through the power of Typescript, Python and AI.
2:20pm - Benjamin Clark, DevOps Consultant @ Sudoblark
"Data-driven Terraform for developers and users: Enabling self-service with a focus on readability and ease-of-use."
Ben will be speaking about how Terraform with data structures and algorithms can drastically accelerate release cadence, enable developer self-service, and act as a foundational underpinning of best practice across an organisation.
Bio: Ben begun work in the industry at 17, and over a decare later he has since founded and lead DevOps teams across multiple large organisations as both an employee and independent contractor. With a strong focus on elevating teams from just developing software to properly engineering software as a discipline, he believes strongly that the Software Development Lifecycle should apply across both Infrastructure and Application stacks.
2:45pm - Araminde Shobande, Senior Software Engineer @ BBC
"AI-Driven DevOps: Predictive Scaling and Security with CDK and Terraform"
In this talk, we'll explore how AI is reshaping DevOps by moving from reactive to proactive infrastructure management.
We'll dive into real-world use cases, such as:
- Using AI to analyse 30-day traffic trends on Kubernetes load balancers
- Triggering auto-redeployments ahead of predicted spikes
- AI-powered rate limiting for AWS Lambda functions, dynamically blocking known malicious IPs
The session will also highlight how CDK (TypeScript) and Terraform empower these AI-driven workflows, providing flexibility and automation beyond traditional DevOps practices.
Bio: Senior software engineer with over 12 years of experience spanning across various industries and blue chip clients such as Standard & Poors, BAE Systems Maritime, Capita PLC, CISCO and the BBC.
We hope that you can join us on the day!
Thanks,
Leah and the DOXMAN team
