@david, do you have real life example having high level and low level metric in one place?

@Matthew, we have done innovation days before. But it is not successful, any tips on this.

My slides from last nights meetup are online - http://goo.gl/1Rvdm
Great turnout. The real value is the "hallway talks" afterwards.
    Thanks again to Evan.

Great talks and but need more depth discussion about topics. As from development background, I am keen to see how developer do operation will save cost and time.

Topics covered by Matthew and Alex Ong were good and generated some interesting discussions. It would be good to see "real" experiences: highly integrated, mixture of mainframe and web technologies, legacy applications and physical separation of ops and devs.
Stephan Dekker's topic unfortunately didn't come across so well. I think I understood what he was trying to accomplish: collect a set of well-used recipes that you don't have to create from scratch. Perhaps it may have been better to present a couple of actual continuous delivery recipes and compare them. It may have been better to have just 1 slide.

Unfortunately had to leave before the end and didn't hear David Lutz's talk or engage in the post discussion.

Would be great to have opportunity to engage with some break-out groups on shared interests such as puppet/chef, legacy apps, integrated monitoring, change management, etc. something like post-its to collect interests might help.

    I'd still come again.

I'm looking for ideas to solve Database configuration management - retrofitting legacy apps and setting it up for green-fields. Anyone have ideas, dreams or working patterns?

Anyone here going to Startup Weekend Melbourne? It is an event held in early November for developers and business people where you build a business over a weekend.

I have a cool idea that involves doing some good for the broader community. Shoot me an email if you are interested to know more.
