The San Diego Democracy for America Meetup Group Message Board › Candlelight Vigil March 19th Candlelight Vigil March 19th

A former member
Post #: 2
March 19th, 2007 is the fourth anniversary of the
start of the War in Iraq and there will be
Candlelight Vigils all over the United States. There
are 1,172 Vigils planned so far, and people are still
signing up to host them.

The purpose of the Vigils is to honor American
soldiers who were wounded or killed in Iraq through a
reading of personal accounts written by family members
of those who have died. Filmmaker Robert Greenwald has
created a Virtual Iraq Veterans memorial that is being
launched for the event. You can see the memorial at -

True Majority, Act for Change, Progressive
Democrats of America and Democracy for America are
co-sponsors of the Vigils. You can find the
location of the Vigils in San Diego at this link -

If you need more information about these
events, you can contact me by email or 619-757-6691.
