East Bay DFA Holiday Party

Potluck with food, wine and friends. We've got social networking, schmoozing and even a dollop of inspiration for you this Sunday. Yep, inspiration, read on....

SURPRISE TREAT - Budd MacKenzie, the founder and spirit behind Trust In Education a wonderful group bringing schools and farm supplies to Afghanistan will drop by to chat about the work his group is doing.

Its a pot luck event, so bring something light to eat (hors d'oeuvre, salad, dessert, ...) or something to drink. We'll make sure there is enough that everyone will go home with no need for dinner.

This was a really fun party. There were a lot of new, or not regular, attendees which made the social aspects rewarding. I personally had a chance to talk with a whole lot of people I did not know.

The people were informed, friendly and the speaker was excellent. It is a great group!

It was great of Vincent and Debbie to open their house, but not enough people showed up betweem 2 and 3p.m. I suggest starting at a later hour, especially when the one speaker is not scheduled to speak before 5 p.m. The early hour left people with a "neither fish nor fowl" feeling. Was it dinner or supper?
