Studio & Home Studio Series: PORTRAITS!

Welcome to our series on Studio and Home Studio classes. This series is for the photographers that want to learn about setting up a studio, whether they wish to set up a permanent studio, or a temporary one that set up and take down in their home.

We are currently offering three topics in this series. It is not necessary that you sign up for all classes, you can simply choose the class that you are most interested in. The classes in our curriculum thus far will be:

Equipment

Portrait Photography

Key Lighting - High Key, Low Key, & Chroma Key

This weeks topic is:

PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

Ready to start shooting high quality images and start your portfolio?

This class agenda will be all about portraits!

Posing your subject

Composition or your portrait

Lighting the portrait with one light

Lighting the portrait with multiple lights

Tips to "Fix" those not so perfect looking subjects

and much more!

We will be photographing a model for this class, so  you will not only learn, you'll leave with images to use in your portfolio.  Registration is limited and the cost to register is $49.

Hope to see you there!

We got to try at least half a dozen different lighting setups. Everyone got a chance to shoot. No one was rushed. Model was great. I got some nice shots for my portfolio

Darryl I had a full day David Hobby (&his partner I forget) seminar on speed lighting &feel pretty good about playing with lights. I use old floods with umbrellas & 1 softbox. Could use a hair light. Would you say there's more I could pick up at this workshop or should I hold onto the very hard earned pennies modeling and look into CS6 advancement?

Thanks Darryl. I figured you'd heard of the Bus Tour and all they covered.... so my bad, pardon me for assuming.

this is Kim, not Eagan, but I'm going to be there and pay at the door. I work until noon and am not paying online in case something happens at my business and I jinx it. Looking forward.
