Small Budget, Big Impact -

23 Social Media Tactics

presented by

Danielle Glick

Danielle Glick

Would you like to raise your brand awareness, drive traffic, and increase sales? Get inspired with a big list of little ideas that you can start implementing right away. These ideas may not be overnight silver bullets, but they are proven, self-contained strategies that don't take a team of people and a huge budget to implement. Danielle will go in depth with examples and bottom-line results on a few tactics that she's used for her clients, plus several other ideas that she's seen work well for other businesses.

No matter what your business industry, Danielle's goal is for you to walk away with at least one golden nugget idea that you can start using tomorrow. A few topics that will be covered: How much money should a small business budget for social media marketing? How can I use social media to increase sales without offering a discount? How do I measure my results without buying fancy software? How "big" of an impact are you talking about? How do I know if social media marketing is "working" for my small business?

Danielle Glick did a well organized and very helpful presentation. I especially like her tips for using Foursquare which I believe to be an under used platform.

Thanks Cam! I like to give the tips I don't see anyone else using. :-)

Danielle covered so many great topics! Claim your Online Real Estate - love it! And the Foursquare tip, YES! I am hooked on the FourSquare lists and have seen sales as a result of my Tips! Thank you Danielle!

    February 18, 2013

    • Paula B.

Danielle, you are the only other person I have ever heard discuss the FourSquare Advantage! It really is an overlooked tool.

Yes, I just noticed one of my other Foursquare lists came up in a google search for a top food keyword! It's all about SEO keywords.

Hey everyone, a quick heads up to let you know that Danielle contacted me earlier today, because she has reached her daily limit under the Meetup guidelines in replying to comments. She will reply to each and everyone of you ASAP and as soon as Meetup allows. We appreciate such overwhelming feedback!"

This was my very first Meetup. I am totally new to social media. Danielle explain the tactics so simplistic that I not only understood them but am now anxious to learn More!
    Thank you so much Danielle!

Excellent presentation! I got more energy to work on social media. It was perfect- well explained and helpful. Thank you, Danielle!

The one's possible for me to do since I do not have a brick and mortar business. Unfortunately Google Places has changed and I am not sure how it works for online business now, I can't have a yelp page so now I need to rely more on Facebook. Sponsored ads are working really well, I got about 30+ "Likes" since Valentine's. Low as $5 per day! I need to refine my ads with your suggestions of "call for action" in example. Any suggestions for online business on google?

Karla, you actually can be in Google Places without an address listed. You have to sign up with an address and then hide it from public view. Most of the tactics I covered can be applied to online business. If you're not sure please contact me and we'll schedule a time to talk!

Great, well thought out presentation. Several a-ha moments popped into my head. Danielle gave me some great ideas during and after on how to improve and increase our presence on Yelp and some very exciting suggestions for Facebook posts. Plus some tips such as surveying how customers found you and tracking URLs will help determine what is cost and time effective.

      1) Claim online real estate; 2) Listen using Google alerts; 3) Link to actionable landing page w/ trackable short links; 4) Create a YouTube channel and make 30-90 second videos; 5) Use Instagram with links to #3.

Thanks for letting me know so I can refine my list. Just an FYI that Instagram unfortunately doesn't make URLs clickable, but you can still include URLs as text. And if you use a custom short link you can make it easy for people to type your URL in.

One of the absolute best presentations we've had since our inception in March 2009. The information was practical, relevant, engaging and left me feeling very motivated and excited about implementing all or most of the 23 Big Impact Social Media Ideas that Danielle Glick shared with the DFW Social Media Marketing Group! I vote to have her back for an all-day social media workshop!

I have been tossing around the idea of a Social Media Photography Workshop. Not sure if it would be a whole day, but perhaps a weekly series broken into beginner, intermediate, advanced, and videography sessions. Being able to take good mobile camera photos and videos makes such a huge difference in audience engagement, and it's a free way to do that once you know how to take good photos. Anyone interested in this idea?
