Can anyone recommend a plug-in that will rotate an object in 3D and Zoom into it as well? For example, images of a pair of shoes so you can see all sides.

Hi Kathy,

That sounds a little Star Trek'y to me! Actually, there is a jquery plugin.
Check out http://jquery.vostrel...

and...a WordPress plugin:

No matter what the plugin, there will be a lot of work in prepping the images.

Some googling may help you discover more ;)

An easier alternative would be... I have an image slider that is able to use embeded video content from YouTube in the slider frames. This wouldn't be "interactive" which is a good idea, but it might be a good compromise while you find the solution you really want. You could record a screen cast of you doing the 360 view and zooming in/out. This might give you the dynamic (as opposed to still image sliders) that you are looking for.

For this sort of task... I don't think flash is a bad idea.

I have used this product rotator for years. Works great, and it looks amazing. The Jquery solution is nice... but a bit clunky IMO. If you can stomach working with flash... try this out.

Flash is a dead language and should not be used. There is nothing and no reason anyone should use Flash anymore. A Flash decompiler can be used to break the elements apart so they can be reassembled using HTML5, AJAX, and/or JavaScript.

I disagree. Flash can still be useful. Need to be smart in its use however.

There are many reasons that factor into this.

It's just my suggestion.

(important note: its very difficult to get me to suggest flash. Just so happends.. I think this is a valid situation. Flash banners I'm cool with. I consider this situation a banner. Bazinga.)
