Salsa Dancing has been a joyful part of my life for more than ten years. I am a musician, and actually, it was my interest in the music that brought me to the dancefloor! I first started playing my horn in salsa bands, and sneaking in dance lessons on the breaks, and then, in my free time, I started coming to the lessons taught at the clubs I performed at. Then I began to really seek out instruction and mentors on the floor - looking for those that had an authentic flavor and precision, and that catapulted me into more and more social dancing, and now...here I am, spending most of my free time dancing and teaching Salsa!
No, not at all - I am an avid dancer and teacher - but I'm quite beginner friendly! I strive for authenticity, personal connection and a native attitude and flavor in my dancing - and so my style is most informed by Chicago's Puerto Rican dance community, my time spent in New York City, playing and soaking up such incredible dance at places like S.O.B's and the Copacabana, and of course, the bachata of the Washington Heights. Bachata is my absolute favorite, and I have twice finished in the top 3 of Nashville's Bachata Contest, formerely held at Club Caliente. Also, I've won the Bachata Contest held at Ibiza!
I don't currently take lessons - although tango may be on my horizons, and for that, I will start with lessons!

Greetings, Nashville! I am a dedicated lover of Latin Music and Dancing, and so if it's something you enjoy as much as I do, you're likely to see me out dancing, playing or teaching somewhere soon!
A fun group of people! Nice to make some new dancing friends!
