More Noble Canyon Single Track Fun

How about another training run at Noble Canyon!! Let's make it 6am this time...trust me, it will be HOT out there and you can thank me later for dragging your butt out of bed early to beat the heat.
We meet at Pioneer Mail trailhead and start south on Pine Mountain Trail, then onto Indian Creek Trail, and continue onto Noble Canyon Trail, following the new 50k course route. It's an out and back course so you can pick your mileage...If you want an "easy" 10 mile run there's a good turnaround at Big Tree aid station about 5 miles in. There's another good turn around about 7 miles in at a creek crossing which is where I will probably run to for a 14 mile round trip.

NOTE: There will be no water on the course! Make sure you plan accordingly. If your'e running 14 or more miles I highly recommend a hydration backpack and also bring gu's, salt tabs, etc...you're trail runners, you know the drill. If you know the trail system well (which I do not), feel free to drop yourself some extra water somewhere along the course. Last time the RD dropped some water at Big Tree.

Here's a link to the full course route [http://noblecanyon50k.com/maps/maps.htm].
Here's my GPS data from last weekend (20 miles) which is easier to decipher [http://www.trainingpeaks.com/av/2T7Y5UZDDJ4WKMCKCAX5QFCPZE]

Directions to Pioneer Mail Trailhead:
Here's the Google Maps coordinate: http://goo.gl/maps/sBc5k
From S.D. take 8 east to Sunrise Highway and then go north for almost 16 miles. Look for trailhead at green mile marker 29.5.

NOTE: You need an Adventure Pass to park. You can get one at REI or Big 5.

If anyone wants a ride from El Cajon I will be leaving my house at 4:45 sharp. Send me an email if you are interested ([masked]). Otherwise if you have other carpool ideas please post in the comments section.

See you bright and early : )

I've also been organizing to start there at 7am tomorrow... so if anyone comes late they can join us :)

I would love to go...but I'm working until 11:30pm Saturday night, so it's unlikely I'll be able to drag myself out of bed early enough and have energy to run NC. Have fun out there!
