HackSmith returns with its first of its kind cybersecurity hackathon held in Singapore — HackSmith v3.0! The objective of this hackathon is to promote Singapore's cybersecurity tools development ecosystem.

WHAT'S THE TOPIC OF THIS HACKATHON
Cybersecurity

WHAT KINDS OF SUBMISSIONS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Cybersecurity tools. Tools for incident management, forensic investigations, threat hunting, pentesting, data analysis, etc. — pretty much any domain of choice; be it for Windows, Mac OSX, Mobile platforms, networking, cellular, etc.

NOTE: This is neither a CTF nor exploits development competition.

WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN?
The event will start with some short talks and briefing by the organisers. Teams will then start their development for 24 hours. A short presentation by each participating team will then follow, to be scored by our judging panel. Food and drinks will be provided throughout the competition. Top teams will walk away with our exclusive HackSmith v3.0 challenge coins (see above).

To hang out with fellow cybersecurity enthusiasts and code together. You don't need a million-dollar idea, nor be the best coder. "I just want to spend a geeky weekend coding with my fellow peers" is a good enough reason to register.

JUDGING CRITERIA
- Novelty and complexity of the tool
- Usability of the tool
- Impact on the community — Does the tool helps a lot of people? Can the community build on this tool?
- "Format" of the tool — Is the tool a minor update to the existing toll, a major update, or is it a new tool?

PRIZES
Limited edition coins (medals) for the top teams.
