New Meetup: Free Beer and Wine at Scion Art Space in Culver City!

Announcing a new Meetup for Dive Bar Adventures Inc.!

What: Free Beer and Wine at Scion Art Space in Culver City!

When: May 23,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: This isn't really a dive bar, but judging from the turnout at Footsie's last week I think it's safe to say that you people like "free!"

So this event has it all:

Free entry
Free beer
Free wine
Free valet parking
(They even had free gift bags last time, but I can't say for sure that they will have them again this time.)

And there's art, too! (But you have to buy that if you want it!)

Scion Installation is a large art space in Culver City, and their art openings are always quite a scene.

Get there early so you don't have to wait in line to park, to get in, and to get a drink. Or two. (You don't have to valet park if you don't want to; there is parking on the surrounding streets.)

This event ends at 10:00PM, so we might go to a dive bar in the area afterward. Check back and see!

And I know this event is on Memorial Day weekend, but I'm sure a lot of you will be around town.

About the art:

1000 Days. The exhibition celebrates the upcoming 1000th feature for, an online contemporary art publication that showcases some of the most innovative contemporary visual artists working today. These artists work in a variety of mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and new media.

Original work by: Caleb Weintraub | Chris Scarborough | Christina Seely | Julie Henson | Michael Rea | Mark Mulroney | Matt Phillips | Tivon Rice.

Directional note: Scion Space is on Helms Ave. just south of National Blvd.

-From the north:

Helms Ave. intersects Venice Blvd. and Washington Blvd., but if you are traveling down these streets, don't turn on Helms. It doesn't go all the way through! Just get to National Blvd. and turn on Helms from there! (Look at a map and you'll understand.)

-From the north:

If you're coming from the south, you can also get to Scion Space from Higuera St. Just turn on Helms and park. Scion Space is at the (north) end of the block.
