With the explosion of mobile, it seems like almost every app has some location-based component. In this talk, we'll cover the foundational concepts of using geographic data (vector vs. raster, projections, calculations) and get our feet wet with some of the most commonly used libraries for geospatial on the web: PostGIS, GeoDjango, OGR/GDAL, Fiona, Shapely, and Rasterio.
