Announcing a new Meetup for The Austin Dungeons & Dragons Meetup Group!

What: September Meet-Up

When: September 20,[masked]:15 PM

BattleForge Games
2700 W Anderson Ln
Austin, TX 78757

Hi all,

I've scheduled a Meet-Up for Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Battleforge Games at 12:15 p.m.

This Meet-Up will feature a 1E/2E game and a 4E game.

1E/2E Game
Interested in some old school AD&D? If so, you are in luck. Todd once again will be running a 1E/2E game for those interested. Over the past few Meet-Ups, the 1E/2E game seems to have attracted a loyal following. Come and find out why.

4E Game
The preceding Saturday (Sept. 19th) is Worldwide D&D Game Day. So Matthew and I will be re-running the Game Day event for those who missed it on Saturday.

But this Game Day event is a little different from those of the past. Here's how WoTC describes it:

"In the spirit of Dungeon Mastering, we're giving you the opportunity to create and show off your very own adventure! Work as a team to build encounters using the materials provided. After your team has finished, play another team's adventure or DM the one your team created. We provide you with everything you need -- maps, miniatures, monster stats, and how-to instructions. Just bring your imagination, a pencil or pen, and some dice!"

To help us plan ahead, please indicate whether you are interested in the 1E/2E game or the 4E game in your R.S.V.P. Thanks. R.S.V.P.s will remain open until 24 hours prior to the Meet-Up.

Interested in DMing at a Future Meet-Up?
The Meet-Up is a great way to find like-minded players. If you are a DM in search of new blood for your campaign, I heartily recommend running a one-shot adventure at a future Meet-Up. Prospective DMs are welcome to run any edition of Dungeons and Dragons. If interested, e-mail me.

I hope to see you at the Meet-Up.
