I got there about 5 minutes before the run and could not find anybody from Meetup. My bad. I opted to run by myself on the bike trail. I am training for a marathon, the CIM - California International Marathon - and I need to veer away from asphalt as much as possible, but it looked like an awesome event.

The CIM is entirely on asphalt. Shouldn't you be training on it?

Great! Turn out & energy was awesome. Event was organized, volunteers were great, and I had a blast.
