What we're about
We hold wellness classes in Inwood/Washington Heights for people interested in healthy weight loss and who haven't been able to lose weight using western diet programs. The Dragon's Way and the Healthy Metabolism Function programs approach healthy weight loss from the eastern perspective using principles of eastern nutrition, Qigong energy exercises, meditation, and Chinese medicine. Thousands of people have successfully transformed their lives using this 20 year old program, created by Dr. Nan Lu, renowned Chinese medicine expert and Qigong grandmaster.
We'll learn Qigong energy exercises, how to eat healthfully and for weight loss from the eastern diet perspective. We'll also talk about how weight gain and obesity are related to negative emotions, stress, and other unhealthy lifestyle choices, and how to resolve other health conditions or emotional health issues using Chinese medicine. Qigong is considered to be a powerful moving meditative practice which can address many emotional or mental health issues in addition to physical problems.
Co-taught at Inwood Movement by staff from Inwood Acupuncture and Sacred Tao Acupuncture. Please visit http://www.sacredtaoacupuncture.com and visit the Holistic Weight Loss or the Classes tab for more info.
