  • Obsessive Creative Disorder

Connect via Skype: https://join.skype.com/kkeyoCZVQdnv (OCD) is a mental disorder where people feel the need to create things repeatedly, have certain thoughts repeatedly, or feel they need to perform certain routines repeatedly. Some are unable to control either the thoughts or the activities. Common symptoms include designing, drawing, painting, dancing, photography, music, reading, writing and checking to see if a door is locked. Others may have difficulty throwing things out. These activities occur to such a degree that the person's daily life is positively affected. Often these activities take up more than 8 hours a day, for most it is their lives. Most adults realise that the behaviours do not make sense to outsiders, but don't care. The condition is associated with an intense fascination with art, science, technology, gadgets, decor to name a few. There is also a greater risk of becoming Apple or Adobe junkies. https://www.facebook.com/groups/OCDisorder/about/ Should you find that you are abusing Apple or Adobe, consider joining AA [ Artist Anonymous ] https://www.facebook.com/groups/ArtistAnon/

  • Eco-Logical : Redesign, Restore & Regenerate Project

Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22. It's a day which is held worldwide to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally and celebrated in more than 193 countries each year. In light of this, we believe that Earth Day shouldn't be a once a year event. We believe everyday should be earth day, and to remind people that environments and humans are intrinsically linked. We are all part of one living eco-system. What is designed to today, affects the future...focus on what helps instead of harming... 27 April 2019 marks the start of a new programme to help empower everyone to learn by doing. We are connecting with Dreamers, Thinkers, Thing-makers & most importantly Do-ers to redesign, restore & regenerate areas which need assistance the most. Starting first with informal settlements who reach out to us, nursery schools, orphanages & old age homes. Our first redesign project starts with an informal settlement where 15 families would like our garden project implemented. If you would like to join our Eco-logical Ambassador programme, to learn various skills from how to research, recondition soil, redesign and restore environments & communities in order to create a sustainable poverty-free lifestyle for everyone, and activate change within social and individual contexts, then feel free to join us on this mission to change the world. This will be a recurring programme, starting first with one informal settlement, empowering and equipping them to help themselves, and then moving to the next one. Rotating volunteers monthly in various areas. Food should be free, and it's about time we fill the streets with fruit and vegetable trees to create edible landscapes for everyone. What to bring: - Dress comfortably- get ready to work, (you will be getting your hands dirty) - Wear sunscreen & a cap/hat - Have respect for the people who live here, photography will not be allowed of the people without consent. Plan: * April - Background & overview of current research conducted * May - Planning & composting * June - Design & Set up * July- Start programme * Aug - Recondition soil & germination * September - Sow For more information & RSVP (we only have space for 30 people this saturday--20 spots left): https://www.meetup.com/Rootbox/events/260303886/
