My Results for Month of December 2018
Here you can let us know how you did during this month in 2018. You might have posted plans for the month but, whether you did or not, you can reveal how your sewing went this month, if you wish you can post a photo of your item/s. If you have any tips about sewing the things that you made then let other members know here. If you blogged it on your own blog then please post a link. We all get inspired by the things that other people have produced so don't be shy. You can post at any time, you don't have to wait until the end of the month to show what you have achieved

What we're about

We are an informal, sociable group for people who love to sew and are keen to make their own clothes. All skill levels, age, gender welcome! Learn new skills, make friends and wear clothes that fit and do not cost a fortune! Sewing can be such a solitary pursuit so it's great to meet other sewing enthusiasts who know what you are talking about and share your passion. We meet once a month and also offer several virtual events or one-off outings to museum or fabric shopping trips.

Virtual events are all about chatting via the comments: we don't meet up in person for any sewalongs but use the comment section to exchange tips, ideas and news of our achievements. There are also quite a few photo albums: please have a look for the topics and then add pictures you would like to share.

Monthly meetings: we meet in the EV Delicatessen around the corner from Southwark tube station: please note that the marker is not in the right place on the page itself - click through to Google maps and it will show in the correct place south of the railway. Look for a big Chef statue at the entrance to the cafe! Then you're in the right place. We'll be sitting at the biggest table.

Check out the blog: we hope that lots of members contribute - you are invited to contribute with a blog post or by commenting. Let us know what you find useful or if you want advice on how to post. Please check it out here:

The Dressmakers Group will cover a variety of events including social monthly meetings, exhibition visits, interesting talks, fabric shopping/day trips, occasional group classes or demonstrations, and exchanging lots of sewing tips when we meet, and so much more. Sewing is fun!

Some of us attended a one-day pattern course at Wendy Ward's MIY Studio in Brighton in Jan 2014. Here is what she wrote about the London Dressmakers Club:
