The AZ Rhythm Connection is Pleased to offer Roots of Rhythm, a fascinating, ground-breaking, hands-on exploration of the world through drums and drumming.

Roots of Rhythm is a great co-ed workshop for anyone interested in learning how to make their own instruments. This is a great hands on experience for teachers and anyone that works with children or the Community. Learn the history of the four instruments you will be be creating in class. All supplies are included in the workshop.
Not only can the content in Roots of Rhythm be used to augment general classroom activities music and art projects, the skills and lessons supplement and support current state curriculum standards in core subjects, such as Social Science, Science and Math, Visual and Performing Arts, English Language Arts, and Life Skills. Come and join us for a fun filled four hour workshop making instruments from ordinary household objects.
Build your own: ? Bongos - a set of hand drums from Cuba. ? Buhai - a friction drum from Romania. ? Dondo - a two-headed ?squeeze? drum from Ghana. ? Lakota Drum - a frame drum from North America.
