At least I now have some idea of what it's about. Thank you. And by far the best food I've ever had at a training day. My compliments to Madam Chef.

It was fantastic the mentors were great and willing to assist. I went from learning a how to develop modules to creating one.

LOL, the only two keys I didn't press!

Hi Claudine, Thanks for the link to your presentation but I can't get beyond the first slide.

    December 14, 2012

    • Claudine C.

Hi Rob, you should be able to use the right and left arrow keys to get around.

      December 14, 2012

    • Jonathan

Works with the arrows, thanks Claudine!

Chris Ward did a great job with the mixed group in Hello Drupal but some tables would have made life more comfortable. Claudine's session was informative and interesting. If I'm ever invited back I'd be happy with Instant Coffee - or settle for tea. Overall, I was very grateful to all organizers for putting on the day. I know they say that Drupal is a community but that's only because you folk work hard to make it a community!

Room 4, we have build a module training. Are we doing different things for the entire day. Or we have 4 equivalent sessions?

    December 13, 2012

    • Stuart C.

It will be an informal mentoring, with people working on things themselves and taking advantage of the available mentors for help, as well as access to two popular tutorial sites.

      December 13, 2012

    • Gary l.

If that is the case, I would like to come in the afternoon. I assume there is a place I can sit down and work.

      December 13, 2012

Is internet access available via wifi?

    December 13, 2012

Chris, I have RSVPed for the afternoon session. Is the intro to Drush running over the same time as the two other afternoon sessions? I would like to do the drush session, but if I can also do one of the other two arvo sessions would like to do that too. Thanks.

    December 13, 2012

    • Stuart C.

The Drush session is at the same time as the Top 100 modules session and the second half of Drupal in a Day.

      December 13, 2012

  • Michael M.

I joined a few hours late for signing up. Can I attend the Drupal Training Day still. I would like to attend Room 1

    December 12, 2012

    • Stuart C.

There's no cutoff period for signups, but the later you signup the less likely we can confirm manual and food numbers. Just make sure you fill out the survey (linked above) to let us know which sessions you wish to attend.

Hey everyone, please make sure to update your RSVP if you can no longer make it, we're catering and providing training materials on a very tight budget and want to be sure there's enough for everyone :)

  • James G.

Hi, I've just quickly read what the sessions are, and then filled in the Google Doc info... but now I'm confused (and may actually want to change my option)
Is Room 1 supposed to be straight up Beginners, mostly theoretical, and Room 2 a more intermediate level with a more practical bent?

    • Jodie M.

I'm coming along and know Wordpress really well but don't know Dev, so I should go to Drupal in a Day?

      December 12, 2012

    • Stuart C.

Drupal 7 in a day would be best for anyone who has no specific experience with Drupal 7, regardless of your experience otherwise, as it is a full day of training, whereas Hello Drupal is only half a day and won't cover as much information.

Hello Drupal will help you get an idea of Drupal is you have limited time or attention span.

Any advice about parking near Inspire9? Or suggestions about public transport access?

    December 12, 2012

    • James G.

Isn't Inspire9 right next to Richmond Station?

Yep inspire9 is right behind Richmond station. For my part train is easier than finding parking.

This sounds like a lot of fun, hope I'm good enough to learn something new after the year long session we have just finished though!
