Talks & Speakers

==========

Introducing Probo.ci by Howard Tyson

Probo.CI (http://probo.ci/) is a new open source (https://github.com/ProboCI/probo) continuous integration system designed from the ground up to work with Drupal. It integrates with Githhub to build your pull requests and post the status of your builds back to the Github PR, just like travis.ci. The part that is different from travis.ci is that it does not tear down your environment at the end and instead posts a link to that environment on the github issue for easy code review, client feedback, and project manager evaluation. The Physical Web by Elijah Lynn

The Physical Web is an approach to unleash the core superpower of the web: interaction on demand. People should be able to walk up to any smart device - a vending machine, a poster, a toy, a bus stop, a rental car - and not have to download an app first. Everything should be just a tap away. Bio:
Elijah Lynn (+ElijahLynn (https://plus.google.com/+ElijahLynn)) is a senior software engineer at NBCUniversal. Elijah works on the Publisher team where he helps maintain an internal Drupal 7 distribution for brands such as Bravo, USA, Syfy, NBC, Sprout, Oxygen and more. Elijah is an active contributor to Drupal.org (http://drupal.org/) and is the maintainer of the Sticky Edit Actions (https://www.drupal.org/project/sticky_edit_actions) module.

As a former locksmith Elijah once opened a house for the FBI in an emergency situation (they claimed their locksmith couldn't make it), after a few minutes one of the agents joked "come on, the guys on CSI only take 30 seconds"... a few minutes later the lock was opened successfully.

Monitoring Drupal installations by Lumturio
with Murielle Marie Ungricht and Sam Hermans

Drupal is a powerful CMS, frequently used by enterprise clients, but as an open source platform, it is vulnerable to cyber attacks. Security depends on timely updates and monitoring and even though the stakes for enterprise are high, the necessary maintenance is often overlooked, exposing you and your clients to security breaches. We’ll discuss the context of Drupal security today, common mistakes and oversights when implementing Drupal, easy steps that enterprises can take today in order to reduce risks and give a demo of the Lumturio platform.
