  • Tog.ie SocialNight : Take Free Tour .. there might even be wood-fired pizza :)
Hi & Welcome to Tog.ie Hackerspace's Monthly Open Social ! Tog is a Hackerspace, A Community or Collective of Hackers, Artists, Scientists, Inventors, Dreamers and all sorts of interesting characters. Every month we get together and have an Open Social ( BYOB/W ) which is open to members of the public to come and visit the space and hopefully have some pizza ! Come and visit our home in Blackpitts, just behind the Headline Pub on Leonard's Corner, off the South Circular Road & Clanbrassil St. We have spaces for workshops, classrooms, chatting over tea and biscuits or a few beers, and even a wood-fired pizza oven which just might get lit up if the weather co-operates and volunteer pizzaiolas can be found ! ... Contributions to the pizza fund are always welcome :) We have a 3-D Printer, a laser-cutter, CNC Router and other tools and resources which we hope can demonstrate for you on the night and let you see them in action. You're welcome to bring a few beers / wine if you prefer and join us for pizza ( hopefully ! ), a chat and take a free tour of our place. We'll also be playing a few board games if there are enough people & you're welcome to bring your own ! In fact if you would like to invite your friends to check the place out and play a few board games we have plenty of tables and chairs that you can use. Also feel free to bring any ideas you might have for projects that you would like to work on and we'll be happy to discuss them with you. You can even join Tog yourself if you like and as a member you can work on them here ! All that and ( hopefully ) a slice of hot pizza, sure what more could you ask for ?

  • Friday Night Drinks @ Robertas,Temple Bar. ( Next door to the Porterhouse ! )
See you in Roberta's for drinks, meeting new people and a bit of craic! Roberta's is next to the Porterhouse {the map may not be correct}. I will be there at 8:30pm and if you are stuck call me at[masked]. BTW Roberta's Management won't allow us to put up a Meetup sign so the best thing to do is to ask the floor manager or the serving staff when you get to the bar and they will direct you to us. If it is your first time don't be shy - come over and say hello and you will be introduced to a great bunch of friendly people ! Unfortunately we don't have reserved tables but we have plenty of room to stand in the open area next to the bar and there are a few tables there that we can sit down at if we are early enough to get seats. Just look for the group of happy chatting people near the bar and you can't go wrong ! I will be introducing everyone so be prepared to say hi to a lot of friendly people :) Roberta's is a great looking venue with an elegant stylish retro decor and a relaxed chill-out vibe. It's perfect for mingling and enjoying a quiet drink after a long week and has a nice well-balanced selection of drinks and cocktails at reasonable prices. See you there !
