  • We'll be at a volunteers home accessible by NYC transit. RSVP for details.
  • A FREE and mostly vegan community meals we  make together with love, mostly using food we rescued from the trash. We share meal planning, cooking, and other food prep skills, tell stories and jokes, meet new people and reconnect with old friends, and generally unplug from the current world order as we build community. If you are not a skilled cook, it is OK! If you are, that's great! You can plan a dish or two from the ingredients we have on hand, and get help if you want it. All participants should plan to help in some way, even if other commitments prevent you arriving on time. Media WILL be welcome with appointment, but journalists will be required to respect the wishes of those who do not want to be photographed.

    No host for the event

    Hi all,
So sorry to say, but we did not find a host for tonight's feast, so we've had to cancel. If, in the future, anyone wants to host one of our feasts, please get in touch! You'd need to be able to host 12-15 people, have room (not necessarily in the kitchen) for half of those folks to help with food prep at any one time. Food would come from our trash tour the night before (which ideally the host would attend) and we can help with cooking supplies, knives, plates and such, if you don't have enough for a crowd. We'll bring cooking skills and the help, and will leave the place clean, with as much or as little of the leftovers as your household can use. You'd need to be accessible from mass transit in NYC, and available at or around 5:30. If this is a possibility sometime in the future, please let us know!
