Announcing a new Meetup for The D?sseldorf Expat Meetup Group!

What: D?sseldorf Expat August Sunday Meetup :: Olives Bar, Koenigsallee :: 3pm

When: August 2,[masked]:00 PM

Olives Bar & Restaurant
Gr?nstra?e 15 K?nigsallee

Hello everyone! Hope you're enjoying the warm summer weather between the times we have heavy rain and thunderstorms smile

First I would like to thank you all very much for coming to the last Thursday meetup! The feedback I received was positive, everyone enjoyed meeting people and socializing outside O'Reillys Irish Bar instead of the room where we usually meet. I should thank Laura Schweiger, Mark Jessop, Darshan Deshmukh, Matthew Jenkins and others who arrived first for suggesting to host the expat meetup outdoors. Definitely the right suggestion, many thanks! Big thank you also to the O'Reillys staff for being flexible and able to arrange our party outside so quickly.

If you are new to the D?sseldorf Expat Meetup group, if you have just arrived in Germany we wish you a warm welcome and hope you will enjoy your time here! We hope these meetups each month will help you make new friends or contacts so you feel more settled living here. If it is your first time to these events you may feel a bit lost when there are a many people present. All of us have felt than when we first arrived, we remember how you might feel. If you are unsure what to do there are two things you can try:

-> Order a drink, find someone or a group of people and introduce yourself then explain that it is your first time. For all members, Dusseldorf Expat Meetup offers a great opportunity to meet new people so you are most certainly welcome to join us! I hope after a few events you would have made a network of friends or contacts you like to meet regularly after work, on weekends or at the following meetup events

or ...

-> Feel free to talk to me smile If you are unsure what to do, I would be delighted to help and hopefully introduce you to people you would like to meet.

I hope this helps :o) The next meetup will be Sunday 2nd August, from 3pm until 8pm at Olives Bar smile Directions on how to find us will be given at the end. I hope you will be able to join us, whether you are new to our meetup group or a regular member I look forward to seeing you then!

Wish you all a great week and weekend!
Cheers, Dinesh (D?sseldorf Expat Meetup)

Directions to Olives Bar & Restaurant:

Olives Bar & Restaurant,
Gr?nstra?e 15, K?nigsallee,
40212 D?sseldorf

The easiest way to reach Olives is to take an U-Bahn to K?nigsallee/Steinstra?e (this is the stop before Heinrich Heine Allee). Walk along K?nigsallee on the side of the chic fashion shops until you reach a fashion shop called 'Ermenegildo Zegena'. The street adjacent to it is Gr?nstra?e. Walk along Gr?nstra?e, Olives will be on your right hand side.
