Hash Code 2017

On Thursday February 23th you can sharpen your coding skills by teaming up with others, choose a programming language and solve whatever programming challenge you will be presented with by Google. Sounds like a fun challenge? It is. The assignments from last year and a test assignment are available to find out to sharpen your skills for the qualification round.

Note: There's no specific Android coding skills required. If your go-to language is Go or Scala, Java, Ruby or Groovy you can enter this competition. Tip: Pick a language where it is easy to process input files and produce output files.

Help us spread the word by informing your colleagues, class mates or teacher about this challenge.

More information and registration at http://g.co/hashcode

Update Monday February 20th:

If you haven't done so already, you must register via https://hashcode.withgoogle.com to be able to receive the problem statements and send in your solution output.

Furthermore, to be able to show up on the Minor Programmeren hub dashboard you must connect your team to our hub (last setting on the team page). You can do this in the judge system at https://hashcodejudge.withgoogle.com

Example:

If you haven't created a team yet don't worry. We'll hook you up with a Minor Programeren hub team on site this Thursday!

In the mean time, here are some programming puzzle websites to sharpen your skills.

Tip: Already create some sort of little framework to read and process input files. For pretty much all sections in the problem statement you get an input file which you must process and upload the result in the judge system.

Pro tip: take a look at past problem statements to be fully prepared!

See you this Thursday!

Do we will form teams that Thursday or do we need to do that before?
