Not a Duval Audubon event, but we are teaming with the City of Jacksonville and other environmental organizations to assist in making a friendly urban nesting area for wading native and migrating birds in Jacksonville.

One restoration step involves pulling invasive plants and planting native plants that provide insects and other food sources for nestlings. These native plants also provide shelter for baby birds to protect them from predators.

Closed toe shoes are required. Wear appropriate clothing, and bring sunscreen and bug spray. Please also bring a reusable water bottle to keep hydrated. The City Parks department will have some tools and gloves on hand, but please bring your own if possible.

You will be required to sign a City of Jacksonville liability waiver.
