We are privileged to be joined by Jason Smith from "Thrifting with the Boys" (http://www.thrifting-with-the-boys.com/). You've heard of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, right? Well this is Leftover Tuesday. Through the wonders of PowerPoint, Jason will take us through a thrift store, section by section. He will talk about the normal things you find in each section. Then let the group in on some secrets, items in each section that we might not have known were there and more importantly, we should buy for resale. Jason will also go over the Xmas CDs that he just purchased for resale and why he will get up to 20x more money than the store that sold it to him. Get a chance to talk with Jason directly.
We'll also enjoy food, beverage, and fun at our annual holiday mixer. This will be a potluck with details to follow. Spend time getting to know other members and have fun!
We will be supporting Toys for Tots once again so ask that all attendees bring an unwrapped gift. More to come.
Jason started thrifting at age six with his grandma and mother in the suburbs of Cleveland Ohio. Six years ago he turned his thrifting hobby into a thriving venture. Jason had been selling on eBay since 1998 but ramped up his efforts and turned it into a full-time vocation. With almost 13,000 feedbacks, Jason is the consummate Top Rated Seller.
Jason, along with business partner Bryan Goodman, created "Thrifting With The Boys" - a group dedicated to teaching people how to thrift and sell their finds on eBay. Through their concept of teaching product sourcing and reselling finds on eBay, Thrifting with the Boys have been featured speakers at multiple eBay events. The duo have also hosted thrifting excursions and write articles for Worthpoint.com. They recently did a Top Rated Seller Webinar (http://pagemage.com/education/webinars) that drew over 1,000 participants. Jason was also one of an elite group of sellers who lobbied Congress on behalf of eBay in 2012.
Cheers - Chris
