Hike Redwood Regional Park

Greetings all my next hike will return to redwood regional park . We will  start out at the Canyon Meadow staging area and hike up the creek trail  to  skyline staging area. From there we can simply turn around and go back, turn left take the west ridge trail or turn right and take the east ridge trail. The hike should not have more than 2250 to 300 feet of elevation gain/loss. It could be cold so bring a jacket. Also bring water and trail snack/lunch. To get there take the 13 to Joaquin miller RD which becomes skyline. Turn left at Redwood RD. Turn left at the sign that says  Redwood park/Redwood Gate and take it to the end. Hope to see you there.

    Hi Paul,
this hike with you is going to be my 1st Meetup hike in the Bay Area. Thanks for welcoming me! Last Sat. I participated in the S.C. Lake Chabot Loop Hike, organized by Steve Bakaley. I’m in Oakland for 3 weekends to “Cat-Sit” my daughter’s 3 cats while she is out of the country. I live on the Monterey Peninsula. I’m a meetup Organizer and lead hikes in the Pinnacles Ntl. Park, the Ventana Wilderness and in the Los Padres Silver Peak area. The Ventana and Los Padres are still closed to hiking due to the large wildfires we had.
See you and your friends tomorrow.
    Cheers!
    Burk (aka Burkhard)

Are there any fees we should know about?

    December 2

    • Cheryl B.

When someone is in the entrance booth, there is a $5.00 parking fee. I have gone on 2 Saturday mornings this year and no one was in the booth. I went there a few months ago and did not have any money. Luckily I had $3.00 in my wallet and he let me in with that! So bring the money just in case.

Is this child friendly? Our 6 month old (in carrier) and very active 3.5 year old have been to Rock City, the Lafayette Trail and the Upper Loop at Sibley with us.
