jQuery Live! with special guest John Bender

Topic of the Month:

John Bender from the jQuery Mobile team will be giving a presentation.

Schedule:

6:00-6:15 Introductions

6:15-7:30 jQuery Mobile Intro: John will give an introduction to the jQuery Mobile framework and discuss some ideas that form the foundation for the API. At the end you should have the tools and confidence to start your own jQuery Mobile application.

7:30-8:00 Question and Answer about jQuery. Have a jQuery problem you can't solve or would like to know more about anything jQuery related? Bring your questions and I/the group will try to answer and help you as best as we can. Look at it like it is a free tech support session!

Techliminal asks all attendees for a $5 donation to help cover their expenses as they have graciously let us use their space for this group. If you don't think you can afford that, please let me know and I will see what I can do to help.   Please don't let the donation scare you away.

Very informative snapshot of the state of the art of jQuery mobile. Inching closer to the Holy Grail - HTML5/CSS3/Javascript everywhere.

I always hope to gain a few insights and tidbits of knowledge. I wasn't disappointed. John was engaging and I think it's laudable Adobe contributes its resources to the open source movement.

    Vadim,

"tools" here is just jargon so you can replace it with "an understanding of the basics"

Street parking is plentiful and available right in front at 6:00. Also free.

For those of you walking to/from the BART, a group will probably be walking back at the end of the meetup. I can also drop folks off (if you sty and help me clean up)

I need to drive down; is street parking fairly easy at that time of day?
