This is the second in the series of rides designed to grow longer, more challenging through Feb. 9th when we'll tackle the Tour de Palm Springs. You DO NOT have to plan to do that ride to join us.
Help newer road riders learn road riding etiquette and safety tips. Help folks who want to get stronger and prepare for more distance. Lessen intimidation and help new riders learn where they are with stamina/endurance. Improve confidence with clipless pedals, learning to drink while riding and steadiness. ALL without the worry of being dropped or unable to manage a flat. This ride will be at a pace of 15-16 mph and a distance of about 32 miles from the Nosh and back. Some moderate hills to climb on this route. Come on out!
Be sure to eat a light breakfast of toast/peanut butter or oatmeal
Wear a helmet and bring a road bike Bring plenty of water (a hydration pack is best!) and a spare tube Wear comfortable clothing Be prepared for 2.5 to 3 hours of riding Arrive 15 minutes early and be sure to pump up tires Ride leader is Sheryl Keeme. We'll meet up for coffee at The Nosh afterwards!
