What do you find most challenging, what would you like to learn more about in regards to eating local?

As a farmer (albeit lavender) and beekeepers -- the biggest challenge we find is helping folks understand the importance of supporting small farms -- and the importance of being genuine and supporting one's community while balancing the importance of supporting things made both locally and globally.

What is your area of work/interest that you would you like to share with other locavores?

We keep bees and grow lavender -- we like meeting new folks but also like just enjoying a nice meal on our property and enjoying the peacefulness of the countryside.

Name three things you would like to do relating to eating locally grown food and community building.

We are already doing it .. we buy from our farm gates, we have started farm crawl hamilton with two other farmers, and we do our part in helping to show folks life on a small farm.

I have the following food items for sale or trade:

culinary lavender, lavender infused honey, lavender honey (in season), lavender baked goods.

Would you be interested in hosting an event?

Kevin & Abigail are lavender farmers and keep bees. They live in West Flamborough on a 10 acre farm. They love the country life but also enjoy good food.
