TONIGHT! Join Global EcoVillage Network (GEN) Ambassadors Betsy Morris and Raines Cohen, Cohousing Coaches and EBCOHO organizers, with area community seekers and residents of an area cohousing neighborhood, to together prepare a community meal and watch and discuss both StarHawk's webinar intro of a featured GEN Power of Community Summit video with Fritjof Capra.

At this special (un)Common Meal, we will take over a cohousing Common House kitchen on an "off" night and prepare our own Common Meal together; some members of the community may join us to eat it. The shopping will already be done, but we'll get to cook and clean and learn together, discovering the joys and challenges of feeding a group of diverse humans with unique needs, and cleaning up afterwards.

Schedule for the evening:

5 PM Cooks arrive and start prepping dinner
(we take care of the meal planning & shopping)

5:30 PM Cleaners arrive and start watching StarHawk webcast on Regenerative Land Management

6:30 PM Break to eat and discuss

7:00 PM Cleaners start cleaning, cooks continue discussion

7:30 PM Cooks start watching Fritjof Capra GEN video
(cleaners can join when they're done)

8:30 PM Wrap-up and final comments.

Note: Everybody is either a cook or a cleaner. If you arrive too late to cook, you're a cleaner. Don't worry if you haven't cooked for a group before, we'll have plenty of experienced hands on hand, and the right tools in the Common House kitchen to make it fun and easy.

We'll take turns, with one group cooking while another watches and discusses Summit videos, take time to eat together, and then the cooks get to watch and discuss Summit videos while the first group cleans up.

Advance registration required, so we can shop and prepare. We always use local organic ingredients to the extent available, and offer alternatives to accommodate a wide variety of dietary needs.

Important note: the listed placeholder location is NOT the property address, we send the actual address only when you register, to protect the privacy of community residents.

At 5:30 sharp: Interested in how we can reiterate land to impact climate change? Want to learn more about Earth Activist Training's new Regenerative Land Management Program? Join Starhawk and guests for this free 1-hour webinar on Wednesday, February 6 at 5:30 pm Pacific Time.

The new long term program will be taught by Starhawk, Charles Williams and many guest teachers.

The Regenerative Land Management program is designed to give you the skills, experience and confidence to run a farm, ranch, retreat center or urban farm in ways that heal damaged ecosystems and sequester carbon.

Why? We are beyond the tipping point for climate change, and to prevent global catastrophe we need to pull carbon out of the atmosphere. The best way to do that is by regenerating living systems, using trees and plants to change that carbon into wood and food and humus. Farmers are the new earth healers!

Part 2, after-dinner video:
Bestselling author, Scientist and Educator Fritjof's Capra's brilliant interview covers the systems view of life and how climate change is seen through this perspective. Fritjof shares his personal perspective and worldview, talks about co-evolution and complexity, and discusses the relationship between the local and global.
