Circle Carquinez Straight Crossing two Bridges 🌉 🌉

This is an all paved 39 to 40 mile round trip, suitable for all ebikers, including beginners. There is basically only one steep incline. It is from Martinez early in the ride. ONLY COME ON THIS RIDE IF YOU HAVE 40 MILES OF BATTERY RANGE at a (medium) assist level!

[Times and locations for departure and return are subject to last-minute changes. So be sure to check this specific event description on Meetup EBIKETREKS before you leave that day. Because of the layout and distance of this ride we may not have time to wait for riders who have issues with navigation, physical endurance, BATTERY life or mechanical failure. If needed we can look or wait for you but not more than once or twice.
In most cases we can pitch in and fix a flat tire or loose chain for you. But for anything else you might need to get non-EBIKETREKS assistance. So make sure your bike is in tiptop shape and fully charged.
Please be prepared in advance for a friend or loved one to drive up and provide assistance if you continue to get stuck or lost.

With this ride you can add 2 more San Francisco Bay bridges to the notches on your handlebars. Stick with us and you can have all 8 BAY AREA BRIDGES crossed (that allow bicycles.)

10:05 park and meet at North Concord Martinez BART station (after BART arrives for some of us.)
10:30 SHARP roll out
• Ride up through residential and oldtown Martinez to
• Carquinez Straight Regional Shoreline Park
• Then down through oldtown Crockett and up to
• Ride over to cross the CARQUINEZ BRIDGE
• After 26 to 27 miles NON-STOP from our start we arrive in oldtown Benicia
• Takeout food from restaurants to eat and sightsee at Benicia Point
RETURN TRIP (12 OR 13 MILES)
• Skirt the edges of refineries to get to BENICIA-MARTINEZ BRIDGE
• Then down into oldtown Martinez from the other direction back to
• North Concord Martinez BART station by around 4:15 so
some can catch the BART departing at 421, 4:36 or 4:51 PM.
