This is a bit of a last minute post, but thought I would see if anyone was interested in joining me for a morning snowshoe up to Dam Mountain & Thunderbird Ridge ...
If there is interest, I may head over towards Goat Mountain (instead of Thunderbird Ridge) where fewer crowds abound and the scenery is quite stunning ... (We may go as far as the base of Goat Mountain, but not necessarily ascend it)
We may do a bit of off trail on the way up as well ...
***Please Note: This snowshoe is weather dependent. In the event of unfavorable conditions, I will cancel this event, so please check this site the evening before we are scheduled to meet! (10 pm.)

Follow Highway #1 to North Vancouver, taking exit #14 for Capilano Road North. Follow Capilano Road to it's northern end, at the base of the Grouse Mountain Skyride. Both pay parking as well as free parking along Capilano Road is available.
The 232 and 236 buses operate to the Grouse Mountain parking lot daily. For bus schedules and information, visit the Translink website here.
In consideration of the environment, the limited parking available, and the high cost of fuel, it is recommended that we carpool whenever possible. While the group does not endorse any formal policy, it is typically suggested that passengers offer the driver $5.00 per half hour of driving (includes mileage and vehicle wear & tear). However, private arrangements between passenger(s) and driver may be made ahead of time.
Please note in your RSVP whether you can offer a ride or need a ride, and where you will be coming from. Passengers, please ensure you show up on time and bring an extra bag for wet/muddy footwear and clothing.
Please do not leave carpooling arrangements until the last minute. The organizer is not responsible for arranging carpooling opportunities on your behalf - that is strictly the responsibility of every individual member. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
