Hello Sacramento!!! Our mission here is to provide a truly authentic and movement inspiring experience facilitated by local DJs/musicians, artists, healers, and other creatives to the city of Sacramento.
We believe anyone who is curious or already familiar with Ecstatic dance would love our community of local creatives and healers. For the uninitiated, Ecstatic dance is an improvisational medium of movement often to music with primal beats and various ethnic and cultural instrumental influences. The purpose of engaging in this practice are many; for some, it is performed to bring about inner– and present moment awareness, to reduce stress and to increase joy through playful and expressive movement, to be a part of a dance community, and much more.
Traditionally, our events start off with breathwork, meditation, and/or other types of experiential practices designed to unify the mind, body, and spirit. The music provided will be from a rotating selection of local DJs and live artists. The dance floor will be off limits for verbal communication, but socializing and networking are also a huge part of our community and our events, so feel free to chat it up in our designated areas.
