Will you be in Edinburgh on Fri 25 - Sun 27 July? Lucky you!
Here's your chance to discover several beautifully nourishing growing spaces. The Edinburgh Permaculture Festival Weekend organised by the The Permaculture Community Classroom is your chance to discover hidden (and less hidden!) gems, such as:
- 16th century castle walled garden, with forest garden, saved and being worked on by the local community, Granton Castle Walled Garden
- Redhall Walled Garden a beautiful 18th century garden run by Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) as a calming therapeutic space with therapeutic horticulture services.
- Special Coastal Foraging Workshop with Jayson Byles in the lovely East Neuk of Fife
- Visit and tour with Connie at East Neuk Market Garden, a 4 acre agroecological farm, with CSA, growing vegetables, salads, herbs and fruit in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife
- Syd's permaculture smallholding near Torphicen, West Lothian. Explore, visit and tour of Syd's 2-acre permaculture smallholding with vegetable gardens, sheep, chickens, earth building, composting systems and toilet. Discover spinning, rooing, weaving, and low-input circular practices, all rooted in sustainability, regeneration, and connection to land and craft.
Visits are free and ticketed, with the exception of the special Coastal Foraging Workshop with Jayson Byles, and East Neuk Market Garden visit where ticket prices cover their time, costs, and livelihoods. See the full programme and book your place here:
