16 St Mary's Street, Edinburgh
In December we don't just have one speaker. We encourage our members to give us a short talk on their pet subject, or anything that they think will interest us. The talks will last 10 minutes, including allowance for Q and A's. We have 7 speakers (all spots are taken), and the topics are:-
John Knox, Zeppelins of WW1, Free Speech, A Humanist encounter, St. Giles, Adam Smith and Bob Dylan.
This should be a fun night, and a chance to get to know people better, so we hope to see many of you there.
There will be the usual coffee/tea break with biscuits (donation £1.50), then over to the pub No. 1 The High Street, for some more conversation, and a chance to have an alcohol drink, or not.
HSS is completely funded by our members and supporters. If you're not a member please consider joining or donating today. Humanist Society Scotland seeks to represent the views of people in Scotland who wish to lead ethical and fulfilling lives guided by reason, empathy and compassion. We provide a range of non-religious ceremonies and campaign for a secular state. HSS has over 14,000 members across Scotland.
