It's The Christmas Countdown - Let's Meet Up And Play Some Piano!

Christmas is nearly upon us so let's create our own celebrations by joining us in the glorious setting of the Edinburgh Society of Musicians and enjoying the beauty of the Steinway piano at the Edinburgh Piano Meetup Group event on Saturday 3rd December at 2:00pm.

Whether you are a total beginner (we need more early stage pianists please please please! ), haven't played for years, working towards an exam or have a piece prepared that you would like to perform, come and share it with our friendly, fully supportive and encouraging group. Alternatively, feel free to come along, socialise, and listen to some really fantastic and inspirational music making from all our talented pianists.

On top of all the wonderful music you will here, come and enjoy an array of cakes, savoury snacks, wine, juices and tea & coffee.

Happy practising and I look forward to seeing you all on the 3rd December :-)

Scott

It was lovely to catch up with everybody at the Edinburgh piano meet-up today, after a few missed meet-ups! It's great to see players progressing so much over the past months (...and years). Thank you so much, Scott, for organising these events and putting everybody at ease. Sorry that I had to rush off at break time. Had a very enjoyable time singing the Messiah! (Thank you for all your kind and encouraging comments!) Happy Christmas to you all, when it comes! 🎄
    Silvie 😊

Ha ha! Thanks for that, Dave - am struggling just to coordinate my hands at the moment, so will rely on you to bring your own clogs!

Brave man! Well done... As for the Grainger, my version says it can be played "with or without clogs"!

    Gerschwin? ... I meant Grainger!

Will you be performing the clog dance at the same time?

Dear all, I can't make it for December but am already planning for January 2017 when I hope to be able to play Gerschwin's "Handel in the Strand". It contains a variation on the Harmonious Blacksmith and I wondered whether one of us might already be playing the Harmonious, or would like to have a shot at it: the two pieces would make nice companions!
