What brought you to this group?

I hope to meet more people like me... people who like electronica music, love to dance and enjoy watching the creative process at work! We are so lucky to live in the age of computers and the internet because we get to create soundscapes without limits and discover some really cool artists that we might otherwise never hear... and we get to enjoy them in small, local venues and they belong to us...

Who are your favorite artists/styles?

I always love trance, and seem to dig Dub-step quite a bit. Honestly, lately I've been digging indie acts like Phantogram, Toro Y Moi, The xx, Nosaj Thing, Gauntlet Hair, LCD Soundsystem, Purity Ring, Washed Out, Glass Candy, YACHT, Weekend (just to name a few). They all have electronic roots and its clear they've been influenced by the genre.

What got you into electronic music?

I grew up in the early 80's listening to Siouxsie, The Cure, Joy Division, Soft Cell, Cocteau Twins... anything that would take my mood for a ride. At 18 I strangely ventured upon an underground party and fell in love with electronica and the blissful energy of the early '90's break-in parties. Eventually I moved on from the scene and focused on my career, but the soundtrack to my life remains the same...dark & etherial, preferrably with a funky beat and bassline for good measure!

Hi there! My name is Michelle - please excuse the photo - I'm also a member of the SD Great Dane meetup, and thats my girl, Luna! I'm looking for new friends to meet, and new artists to support, so can we get some stuff on the calendar already?!?
