A Trapper's Trail

Join a 1700’s fur trader and Cree trapper as they explore the Amisk Wuche trail in search of beavers.

This is a guided hike led by Parks Canada interpretive staff who will be in costume and in character. The Amisk Wuche trail is 2.5 km long and is a relatively easy trail.

Please note that regular Parks Canada entry fees apply. Information regarding fees can be found on the Parks Canada web site.

Can't make this event but would like to attend other interpretive events hosted by Parks Canada? Check out the August interpretive schedule.

    Hi Janet,

The hike is on the Amisk Wuche trail, which is 2.5 km and Parks Canada suggest 1 - 1.5 hours to hike it. I'm not sure of the timing for the interpretive event but I'd be suprised if it covered the whole trail.

Unfortunately I live close to the park so I'm not comming from Edmonton. If you fell like driving there are maps on the Parks Canada web site.

Hi, I'm interested, but I'm wondering if someone could give me a ride. I live near Southgate - I have a car, but I'm not all that familiar with Elk Island Park. Also, about how long would this event be?
