This will be followed by a presentation by Brian Eaton, Ph.D., P.Bio.
Wetlands: they're not just loon sh*t!
Dr. Eaton is an aquatic ecologist employed by Alberta Innovates. He received his Ph.D. in Ecology and Environmental Sciences from the University of Alberta, where his doctoral research examined the ecology of boreal amphibians in Alberta. Brian has worked on numerous taxonomic groups, including mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and terrestrial and aquatic invertebrates. He has experience in both pure and applied biological research, including agricultural systems, wildlife management, and biodiversity monitoring. Brian’s current research interests include indicators of aquatic ecosystem health, response of amphibians to habitat disturbance, and the ecology of small streams and their riparian areas.
