Opera in the Domain has been an annual event since 1982, when Dame Joan Sutherland sang La Traviata, but it's a 1st for me.Im so excited.
Hear Australia's brightest stars, under the stars, sing opera's most famous arias with the magnificent backing of Opera Australia's very own Opera Australia Orchestra.
Arriving in the afternoon @3pm to grab some grass and allow plenty of time to settle in with our picnic for a fabulous night.
MEETING POINT: 3PM at St Marys Cathedral College Street.
Meeting at 3pm, we will wait 15minutes for everyone then we will take a 5minute walk to the domain. If you arrive after that time either call me or look for the Pink Ladies-see dress code below
DRESS CODE : Im thinking we might need a colour theme so we can find each other, and after our lovely day out at The Rosé Festival, we've decided we love PINK so PINK it is.
Christopher Lawrence will provide entertainment from 5pm-8pm with the concert beginning at 8pm.
A range of food and beverages are available for sale in The Domain from the afternoon to the end of the evening. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic and alcohol.
Alcohol is allowed on site, so bring a bottle of wine or 2 however glass drinking glasses are not permitted on site so remember to pack the plastic cups.
Please note for the comfort of Mazda Opera in the Domain patrons, high chairs and beach umbrellas are not allowed and, to protect the lawn, plastic sheeting and ice are not permitted on the grass.
Financial members only i.e. only ladies who have paid their membership fee, or 1st-timers.
