What we'll do
Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek: April 18th-May 3rd/4th 2018
Hi there, are you interested in joining a few of us on an 11 day trek in the Everest Region of Nepal? You’ll have the opportunity to get closer views of the world’s highest mountains, including Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Everest & Cho Oyu. From the base camp of Ama Dablam you can enjoy 360degree panoramic mountain views.
Traditional Sherpa settlements and Buddhist monasteries are visited enroute and this will give you the opportunity to experience the lifestyle of the Himalayan people, their customs, religions and traditions.
This trek is run by a highly recommended local Nepalese Sherpa group and any profit made goes straight back into the community.
The highest altitude that will be reached during the trek is 4600m above sea level.
The cost of the trip is US$2080. This includes basic hotel style accommodation, all meals except 3 lunches and 1 dinner, domestic flights, airport pickups and drop offs, a sleeping bag and a kit bag to use whilst trekking. Not included; are your international flights, visa, tips and spending money.
It is recommended that you stay an additional night in Kathmandu after the trek finishes if you are able, in case there are delays due to bad weather, when flying back from Lukla. If you decide to do this, then it will be an additional expense.
The trek is classified as a moderate level trek and a good level of fitness is required.
I was planning to do this trek in 2017 but due to lack of numbers, it has been moved onto 2018. Therefore the cost for us will be at the 2017 price.
