Abstract:

AI Product Engineering is a new field that applies a framework and a set of repeatable practices supported by necessary tools that streamline and automate the process of designing and building new AI products. In this talk we will present an overview of AI Product Engineering and a case study in the domain of intelligent transportation systems. If the time permits we will also show a demo of a software as a service (SaaS) tool that assists product innovators in startups or established companies in automating AI product design and speeding up the innovation process. Speaker Bio:

Cirrus Shakeri is an expert in building artificial intelligence products. At the intersection of AI and entrepreneurship, he helps startups and established companies solve complex problems with AI while addressing innovation challenges including business model, product and go to market questions. Cirrus is a Co-Founder and CEO of Inventurist, a SaaS company that applies AI to automate building other AI. Cirrus has been a startup mentor at Plug and Play, the largest technology startup incubator in Silicon Valley. He is also a member of the advisory board at Rutgers University Big Data Program contributing strategic review in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence and promoting the University’s goal of linking the industry with academia. Cirrus has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in engineering, and a Ph.D. from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in AI.
