C'mon...let's all get outside, enjoy nature, and the company of fantastic people.
Brisbane Walkers is for people who like to walk; people (men and women) who want to ‘get out there’, in the open air and sunshine, socialising with likeminded people. It’s for people of most levels of fitness (we don't dawdle) and of all ages. So if you are trying to get fitter, lose weight, make new friends/new acquaintances or just at a loose end on the weekend – then come join us. You'll be most welcome!
Walks will be varied in length, in terrain and in surroundings. The minimum walk is one hour - half an hour one way, half an hour back. Nearly all walks will be in Brisbane and surrounds. Every now and then, a hike (over 10km) will be included in the schedule, and generally those hikes are outside Brisbane.
People walk at a medium pace or a fast pace - it all just works out on the day because we have catch-up points
There is always time to socialise, either midway of the walk or at the end. We have breakfast, a coffee/tea, lunch or dinner. There is no pressure on anyone to spend money; I know what it's like to be short of cash; so just enjoy the walk and have a glass of water, if necessary.
