If the words Compostella, albergue, Compeed and Meseta cause you to lose concentration and gaze wistfully out the window, you're probably already a Camino de Santiago tragic.  Then again, you might be someone a bit tired and jaded, yearning to hit the life "reset button" and wondering how. Or, you might just be an adventurous spirit keen to spend time with like minded, decent people.

The Camino experience leaves an enduring and indelible mark. Most say it's wonderfully life changing; some that its powerfully moving; and for a few its a genuine life saver.  If you're a Peregrino (or aspire to be) and you long just to hang out with others that "get it", this group might just be for you.

Activities will take shape as I get a sense of the level of membership interest. Regular social get togethers, walks and possibly even trips away are all on the cards.

I don't envision get togethers where we do nothing but bang on about the Camino. I'd like to suggest we keep the focus mainly on fellowship, social activities and probably some nice long walks. There will however be loads of opportunity to share tall tales and true of our Camino adventures, with experienced Peregrino's on hand to field the inevitable practical questions associated with walking your first Camino.

For those up for it, there's also plenty of scope for deeper philosophical discussion around the inner journey that a Camino almost inevitably provokes.

Interstate and overseas visitors who simply want to connect on a casual basis are also very welcome.

This is a new group as of August 2015. Please feel free to get behind it and share with those you think might be interested.

Let's face it, nothing prepares you fully to deal with life beyond Finisterre. Hopefully this fellowship just might help.

I've now posted a Camino images album you might enjoy.
