amusing video and meet to act for climate solutions - 4th Tuesday of the month
At the next of our regular meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month, we will welcome newcomers; listen to what Catharine Clements has to say about engaging with Local Government; plan our stall at the Saturday 20 October Lions Festival; brief people about last September's National Conference in Canberra and meetings with politicians; and brief people about our 26 September meeting with Labor Federal Candidate Chris Gambian. The meeting starts at 7 pm but all welcome to join us for light meal from 6 pm at Cellini's Restaurant (opposite Hobbyco on Level 2) at the south end of the Queen Victoria Building cellinis.net.au - look for Citizens' Climate Lobby T-shirts. If required, long-time members explain how Citizens' Climate Lobby advocacy for action on climate change complements protest demonstrations. Generally we entertain, educate and support each other in raising public awareness about the seriousness and urgency of acting to find solutions to the climate disruption problem by - helping each other with writing letters to newspapers and to community leaders - proposing a brilliant method of pricing fossil fuels - following well-thought-out strategies for meetings with community leaders, including politicians, especially to encourage consensus on the urgent need to stem carbon emissions. No pressure. Just come for a short amusing video if you don't feel in a political mood. See you there! What we're about

Hi, this group has been established to bring together people who are seriously concerned about the dangers of climate change.

As well as this, it is also a contact point for Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL) Australia, a volunteer-run organisation that meets with politicians at all levels of government and in every party to regularly and respectfully inform and encourage them as parliamentarians to work together in a bipartisan way to implement climate solutions.

CCL is best-known for advocating for a carbon fee and dividend, both because of its effectiveness as a solutions accelerator and its broad appeal. As far as we know, we are the only climate solutions group to offer a warm welcome people who vote for any and every party - as long as they would like to help bring about climate change solutions!
