Local Area Marketing & Networking - Hills District - is a group for entrepreneurs and business owners who want to harness the power of networking and local area marketing to grow their businesses in a relaxed environment.
Your business could be large, small, online, home-based or sole trader. Maybe you are thinking of starting a business for yourself and would like to speak to people who are already on their 'journey'? We can help you.
Our group provides the opportunity to meet like-minded people, exchange ideas and business cards, expand your network for referral-based marketing and get some fresh business ideas and/or tips.
Join us for at our monthly local area meeting, be inspired and share your passion.
WHAT WE DO
Our online and face-to-face meetings are identical for all groups. They begin with:
1. Opening welcome.
2. 60-second Business Primers (all attendees).
3. Member Business INSIGHT* (up to 10 minutes when pre-booked).
4. Group photo.
5. Business Card Exchange (We do that at online sessions too.)
6. Five-minute break
7. 2nd Business INSIGHT.
8. Member Keynote* (up to 20 minutes when pre-booked).
9. Five-minute 1-1 Collaboration Discussion rotations. (Online – members auto rotate via private virtual meeting rooms.) Additional 1-1 meeting time is always available at the end of meetings.
10. Meeting ends.
NOTES:
1. This group supports business owners to promote their products and services but does not permit its meetings to be used for distributor network recruitment.
2. Our group Keynote and INSIGHT presentations are a privilege earned by members who regularly support our network meetings. They are not available to one-off attendees.
3. As a proactive networking group, we record our proceedings for group marketing purposes. Any individual not wishing to participate in these marketing activities, should indicate this preference before their meeting start.

This week we feature a keynote that exposes the risks of buying property as part of a family or business partnership and how to set up such partnerships to avoid these risks should the partnership fail.
Parents wanting to help their children to buy a property or become involved in a business partnership risk losing their own home or property if a "good faith" style arrangement fails at any time during the mortgage or ownership period.
This keynote will expose the risks and what you should do to ensure your is set up correctly to protect you, particularly if you intend using your home or money as collateral.

OUR MEETINGS
All attendees have the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business. Depending on numbers, introductions are between 30-60 seconds - so it would be a good idea to make a note of the key points you want to make!
You get to meet like-minded people, exchange ideas, learn, socialise, collaborate, gain knowledge, form new relationships, get fresh business ideas and tips and, of course, expand your introduction-based business network.
Whether your business is shop, office, industry, home-based or in a shared space, you will meet motivated owners and entrepreneurs to share your passion and grow your business with.

MEMBERSHIP FEES
Unlike many groups, we do not charge a membership or joining fee. Instead we charge attendance fees for all online and in-person meetings to cover costs and ensure small business owners are not dissuaded away from business networking by cost.
Every meeting has an attendance fee contribution to catering costs. Group sponsorship opportunities are also open to significantly boost your business profile.
Online meeting fees are set at $7.50 per attendee (Booking fee and GST inclusive). Face-to-face meeting fees a pay-as-you-go (no joining fees) (Inclusive of breakfast, morning tea or evening snacks - vary depending on the Group). Hills District Group is $30 per person.
