What we'll do
Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats AKA CRISPR has been in the news quite a bit. It's being reputed as a revolutionary protocol for the accurate modification of virtually any genome, but is it all that it's cracked up to be?
The goal is to come up with a simple experiment to run that incorporates CRISPR to better understand it's capabilities and limitations. You don't need to have prior experience in CRISPR, but it's definitely welcome as it will help others in the community begin to understand this technology.
Methods & Materials
To be run fortnightly, this group will most likely run for a couple of months until the experiment is planned and materials have been acquired. After planning, our friends at BioQ will be able to run this experiment as a workshop for us so we and the general public can all get a bit of hands on experience with this technology.
Results & Conclusions
Note: while this is a free event its always nice when people bring something to share at these discussions, nibbles, drinks, etc... Hope to see you there!
