What weโ€™re about

The purpose of this meetup is to bring together people who have suffered depression/anxiety, share our experiences, what has/hasn't worked for improving our mental health, and how to forge satisfying paths into the future.

Getting out from isolation and mixing with other like minded people makes a good start. Eventually, mixing with people outside the group should become easier.

We meet socially and also hold workshops, outings, and educational events where members who have something to contribute can voice their opinions and share their positive and negative experiences.

Participation is voluntary and there is no agenda, nothing you must discuss unless you want to.

Stay for five minutes or for the duration of the event, talk or listen, laugh or cry. We are creating an environment where you can safely push into your own boundaries. This will be at a different level for everyone... we get it!

Currently we have a variety of events... pub chats, picnics, workshops, markets, galleries and new suggestions are always welcome.

We are here to find out what helps best and to discuss experiences within an empathetic and understanding environment.

This Meetup Group has been created for your benefit. There is no joining fee, but some skilled organisers may charge a small fee for their event.
