Byron's bio
Hello folks! I’ve worked in UX for the past 8 years since getting my Masters in Human-Computer Interaction from University College London. Freelancing for 5 of those years has exposed me to a diverse set of business environments and challenges, such as leading the UX for Addison Lee’s mobile app and developing interfaces for Costa Express’ self-serve coffee bars. I’m now happily back in a permanent role in London as Experience Design Lead at MOO, where I exercise my passion for evidence-based iterative design and collaborative working to create compelling systems that are both intuitive and a pleasure to use. Check out my online portfolio at to find out more about me and my philosophy, and to see examples of things I’ve worked on.

MOO ways of working: Design Sprints
In this talk I’ll tell you about my experiences of introducing design sprints to MOO, sharing some of the key challenges and learnings along the way.

Michael's Bio:
As Design & Strategy Director at Reason, I lead and manage cross-functional teams that design, build and launch new digital products and transformation programmes for a wide variety of clients. We work with clients across the entire innovation process from opportunity identification, customer leads proposition development and hypothesis validation to MVP development, launch and beyond.

I advise and build relationships with senior clients on both product development process, strategy and on the organisational change (e.g. new teams, skills and culture) required to build great products that deliver lasting, sustainable change.

Design Sprints: Hype or here to stay?
I will look at the origin of design sprints, where they come from and whether they are here to stay

Sophie's bio

I am Lead UX Designer at Rated People leading a small team to improve existing experiences and implement new digital products and features to help tradespeople and homeowners connect through our online marketplace. I founded the London Chapter of Ladies that UX 4.5 years ago.

I'm interested in establishing the UX function within a business and enjoy getting involved in all areas of research, design and prototyping. More recently, I've enjoyed facilitating collaborative, cross-functional workshops and design sprints to kick off and accelerate thinking and progress on difficult business challenges or projects.

Talk: The 3-day design sprint
My talk will focus on the first design sprint I facilitated which was a customised Google Design Sprint. I will take you through the process (including the pre-sprint planning, why we did the activities, what we achieved and what happened after), the challenges through out the sprint and give you some tips on what to do/not to do.
